Mark Thompson
Mark took over the shop in 2023 from the legendary Justin Lill who had the shop for over 20 years. A devotee to the business Mark started by doing his year 10 work experience at Tyrells winery – seriously! From there came hospitality (running the 3 Weeds Rozelle in its hay day), bar consultancy and boutique bottle shop management. When the shop became available he just had to carry the mantle, great independents are a dying breed. Always one for the giggles not the gold this is what he has lived and breathed all his life.
Haylee Kidd
Dedicated and energetic and a lover of all things bubbly. This woman can do it all, known and loved by all who meet her for her ability to nail your personal requirements and recommend the perfect tipple. This Kidd is alright.
John Dent
John was listed in the included fixtures and fittings when Mark took over the shop having spent the last 15 years working/loitering there – the best paid piece of store furniture in Berry! He has been in the industry for the last 27 years and has a strong knowledge and passion for all things in liquid form. John takes full advantage of his staff discount purely to ensure that his product research is up to date so you can be assured he will give you the right advice.
Colin (Lazarus) Andrews
Ex milko who found he loves the flavours of great craft beers and fine wines. Nowadays, he needs something to whet his whistle after a hard days gardening. Don’t let his laconic country demeanour fool you, this man has a serious palate and bank of knowledge, a harsh judge at the staff tasting table.
Kerry de Fluck
A sea change and a complete flip in career at the end of his work life, Kerry finally found his passion and is working in something he loves – wine. A city slicker with a country attitude he’s a smooth as a Barossa Shiraz and bold as an Oakey buttery chardonnay. Incidentally two of his favourite wine styles.
